Attorney Gail P. Otis limits her practice to family law and represents individuals seeking divorce, modification, child support, alimony, asset and debt division, child custody, removal of children from the Commonwealth, contempt actions, paternity, and prenuptial agreements.  She is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Attorney Otis has also been appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in more than 30 cases since 2004.

Attorney Otis received a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, and a juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.  She was a judicial law clerk in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court from 1997-1998, serving in Middlesex, Plymouth, Barnstable, Worcester, and Suffolk counties.  From 1998-1999, she served a one-year term as Chief Law Clerk for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court.  In 1999, she began practicing as an associate attorney with the Boston firm White, Inker, Aronson, P.C., where she focused exclusively on family law matters.  In 2004, Attorney Otis established the Law Office of Gail P. Otis, LLC, which became Otis & Associates, P.C. on August 1, 2008.

Attorney Otis is a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem, the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers, and the Women Attorneys Network of the South Shore.  She is a past member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Family Law Section Council, the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers, and the Boston Bar Association Family Law Steering Committee.  Attorney Otis was recognized in as a “Rising Star” in the 2007 list of Massachusetts Super Lawyers.

In addition to her law practice, Attorney Otis has worked for a number of years donating her time and efforts working alone and with local animal shelters to reduce the unwanted pet population through trap, neuter, and release, and by fostering animals in need of care and socialization.  She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Quincy Animal Shelter.  She is an avid sailor and motorcyclist.
